Message from the Principal

A man with a warm smile and glasses, wearing a brown jacket and white sweater. At Pike County High School, we believe a strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success. We are committed to providing a nurturing and challenging learning environment, and your active participation in your child's education plays a vital role.

Here are a few tips to help your child achieve their full potential:

  • Establish a consistent routine for homework, meals, sleep, and screen time.
  • Model good habits like reading, time management, and goal setting.
  • Encourage responsibility and Independence by letting them handle their own schoolwork while offering support when needed.
  • Promote healthy habits such as balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and physical activity.
  • Support mental and emotional health by encouraging a balance between academics, extracurriculars, and downtime.
  • Communicate with the teacher: Use ParentSquare to stay in regular contact with your child's teacher to discuss their progress, address any concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support their learning.

We believe that by working together, we can create a strong foundation for your child's academic and personal growth. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office if you have any questions or need additional support.

Warm regards,
Mr. Torrence
